Abstract

The specific objective of the research in Lisbon archives is to identify and rank the main carriers of commodities who acted in the maritime route of Pernambuco-Portugal. Once identified, we intend to find out which other businesses these carriers operated. Thus, it will be possible perform a specific analysis of the transport group and market chains that operated between Pernambuco and Portugal, filling an important gap in the historiography.
