Abstract The Argentina in the 1960s and 70s, following the dominant political unrest throughout Latin America, saw the armed expression of a political and social conflict, that couldn't find more space of action in the legal spheres. These spheres had been suppressed by authoritarian regimes that deployed a project of nation from top to bottom, in which dissent had no voice and were silenced by the violent practice of the military in power. The guerrillas have emerged as a way to put new social and political on the agenda. In the radicalization of the moment, all took the serious tone of the slogan of the Partido Revolucionario de los Trabajadores (Revolutionary Workers´ Party): a vencer o morir! (win or die). The proposal of this research is to analyze the relationship of two of the largest guerrilla organizations active in this period. They are: the Montoneros, an peronist expression of greater power in the guerrillas, in his aspect of social resistance within the political spectrum of a new left; and the Revolutionary Workers´ Party - Revolutionary Army of the People. Both maintained during virtually all its existence a significant journalistic production, in which they expressed their political positions. We propose, through the analysis of this material, to carry out this study. Both were still adhering to the strategy of guerrilla warfare; but they carried differences that positioned themselves often on opposite sides of the political scene. This opposition has ceased to be significant in the case of the two organizations, when they were struck dead by one of the most violent dictatorships in Latin America. The purpose of this work is to study the reasons of distances and approaches along the existence of these organizations. | |
