Abstract

Visualization techniques have been widely used in dataset exploration. A common strategy is to employ different techniques to facilitate the investigation, enabling different perspectives from the same dataset. Recently, the Applied Computing group from FCT/Unesp proposed an approach to combine different visualization techniques in a single view, creating a hybrid visualization. As with other visualization techniques, this approach faces the problem of markers overlapping, making it difficult to user interaction. Therefore, this project aims to improve user interaction with the graphical representation generated by hybrid visualization technique. Thus, techniques and approaches will be compared in order to avoid the markers overlapping in graphic representations. The selected techniques from the literature will be validated based on processing time and preserving of similarities relation originally computed from multidimensional projection techniques.
