Abstract The links between environmental performance, competitiveness and financial results is growing every day. Companies are transforming the environmental performance into a powerful competitive weapon. The consolidation of sustainable practices in the business environment made room for new management tools and waste return, appearing to reverse logistics. Companies now pay more attention to the rational use of by-products, bringing the need for appropriate disposal of waste generated. This paper aims to analyze how reverse logistics is implemented for waste management in butcher shops Alta Paulista. To achieve the proposed objective will be conducted the study in Tupa municipality together with three butchers to compare volumes and types of waste that is collected through the reverse logistics. To achieve the expected results will be used to quantitatively measure Wuppertal method how the company ceases to pollute the environment. To point out the economic advantages, the financial results will be compared to net income and revenues of the retail meat sector. Finally, the analysis of reverse logistics performed by butchers can be evaluated for different sizes of markets as its economic viability, environmental and social. | |
