Abstract

The emergence of molecular complexity in Sun-like star forming regions is one of the main questions of Molecular Astrophysics. Two ongoing IRAM Large Programs led by IPAG scientists, IRAM-30m/ASAI (Astrochemical Surveys At Iram; PIs, B. Lefloch & R. Bachiller, 380 hrs) and NOEMA/SOLIS (Seeds Of Life In Space; PIs, C. Ceccarelli & P. Caselli, 380 hrs), have been undertaken to address this question. The observations will consist of an unbiased spectral exploration of complex molecules in a sample of objects which covers the evolutionary processes from prestellar cores to protoplanetary discs. As members of these consortia, we are in charge of studying the physical conditions and chemical properties of carbon-chain molecules, their molecular growth and deuteration in the intermediate-mass Class 0 protostar Cepheus E. During our stay at IPAG, we will analyse the emission of the various cyanopolyynes (HC{2n + 1}N, n = 1, 2,...,5), model their emission and compare the results with chemical models in order to constrain their formation route around protostars.
