Abstract

The Green turtle (Chelonia mydas) is a species of sea turtle that has widely distributed throughout the globe. Despite its cosmopolitan distribution, intense impacts in their populations and habitats, especially fishing and marine pollution, place the species at risk in several locations. The management of a species requires knowledge of their basic biological characteristics in order to guide the right strategies for their conservation. Thus, the collection of information on Chelonia mydas diet is very important for its conservation. Therefore, the aim of this study is to determine the consumption patterns of juvenile Chelonia mydas on the beaches of Ubatuba, southeastern Brazil, integrating the methodology of analysis of the digestive tract and analysis of stable.
