Abstract

This project refers to the continuation of my ongoing doctoral research , on the dissemination of German economic thought in Brazil (1889-1945). An academic stay in Germany will be essential for the development of the original project, as it will allow for a direct contact with sources which are not available in Brazil. Furthermore, it will contribute to a refinement of the idea of "German economic thought", so as to permit a perception of the many ideological and theoretical differences present in the German economic debate from the late 19th century through the early decades of the 20th. The academic experience will be supervised by prof. Harald Hagemann, whose expertise in the history of German economic thought will help to pursue the goals of the doctoral investigations in progress. (AU)
