Abstract

This work proposes the study of three aspects concerning state knowledge in Max-Plus Linear (MPL)Systems: reachability, observer design and stochastic filtering. This document briefly analyses the problems of state reachability and stochasticfiltering in MPL systems showing how they can be related. Recent results concerningthe reachability problem will be considered, aiming its application to the stochasticfiltering problem. Contributions of the study of observers design to the filteringproblem will as well be considered.
