The purpose of this research assistance fellowship will be to analyze changes in public opinion on the approval of state governors using data collected by key institutes who study public opinion (Datafolha, Voxpopuli, Ibope e IPSOS). Two questions will be answered. Why do governor approval rates vary in the short and long-term? What are the systematic forces that cause changes in governor popularity since democratization to the present?
