Abstract

The transformation of disabled persons in subjects of civil and political rights is the late 1970s. More recently - the early 2000s - has been the recognition of sexual and reproductive rights for these people. These achievements stem from fierce debates between social movements of people with disabilities, family members and / or responsible for people with disabilities and socio-legal and health fields. Thus, from an anthropological perspective, the doctoral research aims to investigate the effects resulting from transformation of people with intellectual disabilities in subjects sexual rights, the implications for the notion of intellectual disabilities and the implications for sexuality notion. It is still object of research, to understand how these notions are formulated in terms of public policies related to sexual and reproductive health, as well as coping political abuse and sexual violence. To this, it was listed a number of materials that can be divided into two groups. One group is formed by ethnographic research in the clinic of sexual violence Hospital of Unicamp. The other groups consists of national and international documents arising from conventions, rights declarations, guidelines, constitutional amendments, laws and action platforms. Thus, the hypothesis is that the ethnography these various forms of disputes and tensions, put into perspective a political technology that deed, governs and regulates the sexuality of people with and without intellectual disabilities.
