Abstract

The aim of the present study is to evaluate the vitamin E as a antiadhesion solution in surgical procedures of the genitourinary tract of sheep. There will be used 16 female sheep submitted to ventral laparotomy for manipulation and induction of genirourinary adhesions by the method of monopolar diathermy, doing three cauterization points in the right uterine horn and ovary. The sheep will be divided in two experimental groups, a control group (GC, n=8) and another done by the washing with 20 mL of vitamin E (GE, n=8). After 15 days will be performed videolaparoscopies of these animals and classify the degree of the adhesions by the presence, number, dimension and involved organs. There will be made reviews of serum fibrinogen and total protein. Data will be expressed as mean and standart deviation compared by the one-way ANOVA test, with Kruskal-Wallis and Turkey post-test.
