Abstract

The objective of the present study will be to analyze different methods of irrigation in removal of debris into simulated lateral canals of acrylic teeth, by means of volumetric measuring in microtomography computer. Irrigation methods tested will be: conventional, Ultrasonic Irrigation passive (IUP), ultrasonic Irrigation continues (IUC) and Easy Clean. Fory acrylic incisors will be used with simulated lateral canals in the cervical, medium and apical portions, which will be filled with dentinal debris and scanned with SkyScan 1174 computed microtomography, with the help of the CTan CTvol programs, initial debris volume in each simulated lateral canal will be measured. After the teeth will be divided into 4 groups according to the irrigation protocol being used, obeying the following: G1-conventional Irrigation (syringe and needle) 3 times of 20 seconds with NaOCl 3 times of 20 seconds with EDTA 3 times of 20 seconds with NaOCl; G2-IUP conventional Irrigation (syringe and needle) 3 times of 20 seconds with NaOCl 3 times of 20 seconds with EDTA 3 times of 20 seconds with NaOCl;; G3-IUC 3 times of 20 seconds with NaOCl 3 times of 20 seconds with EDTA 3 times of 20 seconds with NaOCl;; G4-Easy Clean 3 Irrigation times of 20 seconds with NaOCl 3 times of 20 seconds with EDTA 3 times of 20 seconds with NaOCl. In the groups of the IUP and Easy Clean, after each agitation, the irrigant will be renewed. The Easy clean will be employed in the Easy motors on ARM function and with ultrasound will be used the Various 350 of NSK with the irrissonic tip on the IUP, in power 2 and with the needles Vista on ultrasonic power 2 with the same ultrasound. After the protocols of irrigation, the teeth will be scanned again and through the CTan and CTVol, will be measured the remaining debris and then calculated the percentage of removal. The data will be submitted to the statistical comparison.
