Abstract

With the big quantities of goods and services that circulate in world's economy, the fierce competition and demanding costumers, the quality management became an accessible tool and primordial to the companies to compete in this scene. As an alternative to develop it, the managers use the ISO 9001 as a most used mechanism, internationally recognized and capable to adjust the products and services to costumer's expectancy. In order to attend the recent transformations, the ISO 9001 will present your newest version, the ISO 9001:2015, and bringing up new organizational approaches, concepts and impacts. The objective of this study is: through five case studies, identify the potential impacts of the norm ISO 9001 : 2015 about certified industrial firms according to the former version (ISO 9001 : 2008 ) and verify how these firms are preparing themselves to the certification of this new version, In this project, a short theoretical review about quality management and ISO 9001.
