Abstract

The work of street sweepers is removing garbage and debris present on public roads. It isan activity carried under clear sky conditions, a fact that subject them to various types ofattacks, such as the severe conditions climate, and many others. Presidente Prudente -.SP is located in a climate zone characterized by high temperatures most of the year, andfor this it is necessary to analyze the influence of these weather conditions on the health ofthe street sweepers. It is a little discussed theme although very relevant, especially forevolved personnel who daily suffer the negative effects that such working conditionsimposed on them. For this temperature and humidity variations will be analyzed for theperiod 2006-2014 in order to provide a basic parameter for the notion of thermaldiscomfort, as well as interviews with the street sweepers aimed at understanding howthey establish relatiosn with the weather and what are the measures adopted by thecontracting company (PRUDENCO) to minimize the exposure effects.
