Abstract

Considering the access to information as a supravalor running through all the Information Science, in that it reveals a right inherent in man, it is noted that in the laws of access to information, in different countries, instruments reaffirm this value and specify the conditions under which this right is effective. Brazil and Spain which have the same romanist legal basis have enacted their laws of access to information in 2013. That way, the objective is to identify and analyze how the issue of access to information is covered in the Spanish context at the moment, either in the context of law and legal doctrine, or in the context of information science literature in that country. To do so, first there will be a review of the literature on access to information in legislative areas and Spanish doctrine, emphasizing the Access to Information Act and its regulatory instruments, to which will follow a literature review on the basis DIALNET and in the Library Facultad de Documentación y Comunicación of the Universidad de Granada, about the access of information in Spanish literature of Information Science. The results will be analyzed using the content analysis method (BARDIN, 2008), from the thematic elements involved (such as nature, characteristics, object, objective, limits, operations, products, instruments etc.), and still trying to identify new categories that might be peculiar. Based on these elements, the systematization of data and preparation of a text-synthesis of the research, along with Prof. Fernandez Molina, who will transform it into a journal article to be published in a Brazilian scientific journal in the area of Information Science.
