Abstract

This research project aims to: 1) analyze the nursing work environment in the various sectors of a hospital considering autonomy, control, relationships between doctors and nurses and organizational support; 2) verify the ideal leadership style as perceived by the nurse, and the actual according to the assessment of one of their subordinates; 3) to correlate environmental variables work and real leadership. It will be a correlational study in a general hospital, teaching and large, located on the south side of São Paulo, SP, Brazil. All units of the institution that have nursing staff will be investigated. The population will be constituted of nurses, technicians and assistants who have at least six months of professional performance. Nurses will discuss about the purpose of the study. Then sortearão one led his team to be consulted. So double will be formed considering the perception of nurses about the ideal behavior for leadership and what actually coach Nursing drawn by him evaluate as real in view of the performance of this nurse as their immediate leader. They will be delivered to nurses, in an envelope, three data collection instruments: 1) characterization; 2) Nursing Work Index Revised version validated for Portuguese (B-NWI-R) and 3) Grid & Nursing Leadership: ideal behavior. The drawn Nursing technicians also receive an envelope containing: 1) the same characterization tool described above; 2) Grid & Nursing Leadership: real behavior. Data will be collected from October to December 2015. The results will be analyzed using descriptive statistics, alpha conbrach, Student t test, Wilcoxon and ANOVA.
