Abstract The permanent dyeing of hair is a process adopted by millions of people worldwide, and involves complex oxidative reactions between precursor agents and couplers in medium alkaline oxidant inside the hair. The project proposes to improve understanding of these reactions, investigating the reaction between p-toluenediamine and p-aminophenol as models of compounds of permanent dyes for chromatographic techniques with mass detector and spectrophotometry in the UV-VIS region. It is also our proposal to seek new analytical methodologies for the determination of these compounds and its derivatives in hairdressing salons wastewater and water abstraction in water treatment stations using electrochemical sensors and high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with electrochemical detector. For this it is intended to exploit the policysteine and keratine as an example of modifiers in gold electrodes and printed electrodes grapheme, respectively, since both are basic constituents of the hair. | |
