Abstract

He process of globalization/globalization of capitalism is founded on the relocation of large companies and their multiterritorialização in branch networks, subcontractors and franchised, smaller ones around the world in a control strategy of markets and exploitation of surplus value places the location advantages and low production costs. One of the segments sensitive to this dispossession and multiterritorialização is the production of the textile and clothing as it is articulated by big brands and global brands in a wide network of production workshops and sewing, concentrated mainly in peripheral countries. Once the facilities are put to the particular company so that it is installed in a given region, produces a reorganization of relations of production and work, with impacts on spatial planning. Thus, this research will try to understand how is the territorialisation of industries in the textile business/clothing in the neighborhood-region of Mooca, located on the east side (expanded center) in São Paulo, one of the most important textile agglomerations of parents. The survey shall be founded on the investigation of the consequences of the (multi) territorial concerned leads in three areas: for companies, for workers and for consumer society. This survey shall be founded, in addition to literature review, in a survey and analysis of statistical secondary data (Rais, SEADE and IBGE) on production, establishments and employment, production of thematic maps at various scales addressing the territoriality of the textile chain and research field and interviews to analyze the relationships between stakeholders in this segment in the neighborhood-region.
