Abstract

On the perspective of minimizing the consequences of the current way of life, based on productivism and overestimation of work, scholars search to find new human rapprochement strategy with the natural environment and trigger pro-environmental behavior. One focus of these studies have been the adventure activities in nature and its educational potential stimulus to learning and affectively value the nature. However, it is unknown whether all forms of adventure activities represent that potential. Thus, the objective of this research is to investigate the studies that specifically show the modalities of adventure activities in nature impacting the perception that human being has facing nature as well as the justifications for their educational potential, in the view point of the scholars of this theme. This study uses mixed method research, through sequential exploratory strategy based in the dissertations and thesis contained in the Banco de Teses da CAPES, articles published in Portal CAPES, with journals in the extracts A1, A2, B1 and B2, in Physical Education, Interdisciplinary and Education areas and in journals with impact factor over or equal to 1, according to the Journal Citation Reports (JCR), Science Edition 2014, published in the last five years. Data will be descriptively analyzed through Thematic Content Analysis and subsequent statistical analysis, which may help outline new strategies for action in the pro-environmental behavior configuration.
