Abstract

This study aims to assess the stages of maturation of sugarcane while determining the sucrose accumulation process and the digestibility of lignocellulosic biomass generated. Will evaluate the sucrose content of sugarcane internodes, the chemical composition, and the digestibility of lignocellulosic biomass opposite hydrolysis with commercial enzymes in various hybrids of cane sugar per preselected they contrast with the content components. For this, similar internodes from the same genotype will be sampled over one complete cycle of cultivation. Also will be assessed internodes sampled towards the top of the plant to the base from mature plants. Implementation of the project will provide a better insight into the sucrose accumulation processes and the formation of biomass in secondary walls of sugarcane cells and components that cause the recalcitrance of the cell wall, mainly lignin, hydroxycinnamic acids, and hemicellulose.
