The teaching of History and Philosophy of Science is strongly recommended by the official curricula, guidelines for the formation of area teachers and literature. However, research has shown that this issue is hardly present in the initial and continuing education courses for teachers, in teaching materials and basic education. Consequently, teachers and students have distorted views about the nature of science and scientific knowledge. For these reasons, this study aims to develop a teaching sequence on the path of blood in the human body, in the light of history and philosophy of biology, from the study of theses and dissertations on the subject. Develop it together with the teachers connected to the Regional Directorate of Education of Jaboticabal, in continuing education and analyze the results of such training. The proposal development steps include: 1) the analysis of the State Curriculum São Paulo Biology and teaching materials linked to it, trying to see if this subject is present and how it is addressed; 2) preparation of a questionnaire to collect the teachers' views on the subject; 3) theoretical development and construction sequence and materials to be presented and discussed with the teachers. It is therefore a qualitative study. Data will be collected through document analysis (the teaching material of public schools), survey and recording of meetings by recording and subsequent transcription. For the analysis, will be used the techniques of content analysis.
