Abstract

Habits like eating poor quality food and having sedentary lifestyle are increasingly in the population, resulting in increase of white adipose tissue and causing obesity. Nowadays obesity is a crescent global disease among young people mainly. With positive energy balance and consequent increase in fat mass numerous inflammatory cytokines are released. This causes metabolic damage not only in local but in other tissues, leading to insulin resistance state. Therefore the control of fat mass growth is directly related to body homeostasis. There are proteins involved in the search of improvements for the metabolismo, and that can be modulated by exercise, fostering thus maintaining healthier life. It is not completely clear, which mechanisms or proteins are involved in the effects of resistive exercise on metabolism of adipose tissu and skeletal muscle, and that could effectively participate in the improvement of body homeostasis The objective of this study is to evaluate the effect of a single bout of resistive exercise session on the expression of genes encoding proteins involved in the metabolism of adipose tissue and muscle of rats fed by hyperlipidic hypercaloric diet. Wistar rats will be divided into 6 groups (n = 8 / group) according the time of euthanasia after performing single bout of resistive exercise: NE - non-exercised group, I - euthanized immediately after exercise, G30m - euthanized 30 minutes after exercise, G1h - euthanized 1 hour after exercise, G3H - euthanized three hours after exercise and G24h - euthanized 24 hours after exercise. The exercise will consist of jumps with weight carried on metal platform. To sacrifice the animals wil be anesthetized with thiopental anesthetic and periepididymal adipose tissue (Pparg, Acaca and Fas) and soleus muscle tissue (Tnf, IL6, Prkaa2, Ppargc1a and CS) will be removed for evaluation of gene expression by RT-PCR. For statistical analysis, ANOVA one way will be used to analyze the existence of significant differences between the means, adopting p<0.05 for significance level.
