Abstract

The studies about the committees of the Chamber of Deputies argue that the centralization of the decison power in the party leaders is responsible for the definition of each committee. The purpose of this project is to introduce in the literature a new sight about how parties influence the membership in the committes and their role in the coalition government. From empirical analyses, the aim is to investigate the proportion of chairs the parties occupy in the committees compared to the proportion of chairs they occupy on the floor. To check if the proporcionality criteria is respected can show how the strategical games are played in regard to the committees.
