Abstract

The growing demand for healthier foods, better quality, with high nutritional value and produced in less aggressive systems to the environment created the need lifting technical information that provide citrus fruit production quality and meet environmental preservation. Studies with adequate managements of soil cover for canopy and rootstock citrus adapted to densification will contribute mainly to the increase in productivity per unit area and thus, with the permanence of small farmers in the citrus industry. This work aims to evaluate the no-tillage system for dense orchard of acid lime Tahiti in door- graft Flying Dragon. The experiment will be conducted in the experimental area of the Rural Development Department of the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), campus Araras, Sao Paulo State, Brazil. After planting the seedlings, the management of interim vegetation follow the following treatments: no-tillage (Urochloa ruziziensis, mulching + herbicide on the row), tillage (Urochloa ruziziensis, mulching on the row - no herbicide) minimum tillage (Urochloa ruziziensis without mulching + herbicide on the line) and conventional tillage (natural vegetation without mulching + herbicide on the row). They will be evaluated the dry mass of the intermediate vegetation and mulching in the projection of citrus cup; weed density and percentage of mulch, soil moisture and compaction in the row, chemical analysis of soil and foliar (Tahiti), and the root system (rootstock), vegetative and productive development of Tahiti acid lime.
