Abstract

The current paper aims to fill the lack of available literature on the production and documentary type of Investor Relations (IR) in Brazil. Thus, it is proposed to develop the study of documentary type of IR department which the research universe are publicly traded companies in the BM&FBovespa. The overall objective is to systematize the documentary production of the IR department of these companies based on the study of functions, activities and identify the document type area. Regarding the methodology it is characterized as a qualitative research of descriptive and exploratory nature of the documentary production of the IR department in publicly traded companies in the BM&FBovespa. It is contemplated as data collection procedures, the bibliographical research and documental. Factsheets information typology will be elaborated found in the literature search and data collection in IR websites. As expected results we seek to create lists with major documentary types of IR area that will facilitate the work of the archivist in the organization of the collections of publicly traded companies of BM&FBovespa.
