Abstract

This work aims to analyze the heat transfer mechanisms in the nucleate boiling regime by developing a numerical model that addresses the heating surface conditions and heat transfer in the vicinity of a vapor bubble during the growth and departure period. The computational domain will consider the liquid and vapor phase and, also, the heating surface. Experimental data and phenomenon visualization will be used to determine the boundary conditions of vapor-liquid throughout the simulation. The numerical model validation will be made by comparing with experimental data obtained by this research group. Thus, it will be possible to develop a deep analysis of heat transfer mechanisms present in the boiling phenomenon. (AU)
