Abstract

The leprosy on Brasil present as a severe public health problem, it is one of the leadership's country in America based on the number of cases, the goal of elimination of the disease(<1 case per 10,000 habitants) couldn't be achieved. Then it turns to be relevant to evidence the most affected areas by this disease Objective: Analyze the spatial distribution of the leprosy cases on Ribeirão Preto/SP through kernel intesity estimator. Methods and Materials: It is an ecologic descritive study and will be considerated leprosy cases registred on the, National Information System for Notifiable Disease (SINAM) on the period of 2006 to 2013. Set up as an aggregate of an ecologic study on the census sector, to be the geographic smallest unit with most homegeneity. The leprae cases will be geocoded and verified the distribuition of this disease on the space. It will be expected the technique of analysis of the density of the points Kernel Intensity Estimation to indentify and representation of the areas with more incidence. The management of the information and the elaboration of the thematic map will be realized on the ArcGis software version 10.1.
