Abstract

The study on the just and unjust definitions has always been in the crosshairds of philosophy. Several studies on the topic have been proposed by the most commom variety, from Plato to Rawls. The way different justice settings form different theories of state and governmment is the main focus of the proposal. From the contractualist current of Thomas Hobbes and Jean-Jacques Rousseau, this research will study the main focus of their respective theories, such as the origin of civil society, the concept of natural and acquired right and the formation of governmment systems. Analyzing further the model of Hobbes and as well the model of Rousseau, this project aims to analyze the democratic, aristocratic and monarchist systems in their theories and recongnize pros and cons arguments of each author.
