Abstract

The objective of this project is to carry out internship research abroad to develop the methodological question about empirical research use with critical theory, answering the following question: how to use the critical concepts of legal public sphere and struggle for recognition to rebuild struggle for rights arguments? Critical theory has tradition in uniting the various theoretical fields of human sciences with empirical social research, we aim to obtain a deeper understanding about the appropriate methodology to understand how the struggle for recognition of rights, motivated by social inequalities, influence decision formal spheres. Furthermore, we also propose the study to achieve contact with other forms of social inequalities, affirmative politics and social movements. The production of knowledge on these issues - specifically with an orientation to the law area - has importance to better understand the ways to handle the legal instruments and also better understand social movements demands and the consequences of rights recognition for the reduction of social inequalities.
