Abstract

This project is part of the PHD research Textualidades e processos performativos: perspectivas para a criação cênica, and it's main objective is to use the concept of lyric gesture - from the French literary critic Dominique Rabaté - in the analysis of literary and performatic texts, in order to conceive new methodologies for the playwright creation. First, trough a bibliographic analysis, the concepts of gesture and lyric gesture will be developed so they can be used subsequently in the study of a modern literary text - Andre Breton's romance Nadja -. Later, during the internship, we will choose a performatic work and a contemporary theater play to be analyzed. Concomitantly to the research and the case studies, we will keep a constant dialogue with the supervisor professor and his research group - the IRTE " Groupe de recherche sur la Poétique du drame moderne et contemporain" - in order to debate if the lyric gesture can be considered a new tool for the performative playwright study.
