The purpose of our Research Project is to demonstrating that Leandro Gomes de Barros, a Brazilian poet born in the state of Paraiba, Who hasn't an academic education and can considered a man anti republican, wrote at the mostly for a public who is situated at the way between country and city. He made the construction of his classical satirical poetry based in the Luiz Gama's poetry (1830-1882), brazilian poet born in the state of Bahia, who was black man, abolitionist and against the monarchy. Based on theoretical assumptions of Paul Zumthor about revitalization and functionalization of literary archetypes and theories of circularity between cultures. Then about Bakhtin we are intend to demonstrated that to do a rereading of Gama's satire aimed criticize the republic and its creators draw a profile of the actual situation experienced by the brazilian northeast population at the time. Leandro makes an adaptation with the purpose of to make his readers/listeners feeling more close to the poetic themes and solutions used by Gama to criticize the society and the monarchy, bringing to them new meanings, in a whole new political and economic context if compared to brazilian republican northeast.
