The aims of this this study will be verify the effects induced by sheep blood storage. Eight animals will be used, females Santa Inês breed, healthy, weighing 30 to 40 kg. A blood bag with a volume of 450 mL containing CPDA (whole blood) and another that will be processed following the standard criteria for obtaining packed red blood cells are collected and stored under refrigeration (3-6 degrees Celsius). Blood aliquots of the bags will be collected at 0 (baseline), 7, 14, 21, 35 and 42 days of storage and performed complete blood count, blood gas, glucose, lactate, electrolytes, and the presence of spherocytes. It will be used the Shapiro-Wilk normality test to determine the distribution of data; parametric will be compared by ANOVA test and post-test Bonferroni and nonparametric Kruskal-Wallis followed by Dunn's. The significance level will be 5%.
