Abstract

Alphavirus and Orthobunyavirus are important arboviruses causing public health problems in Brazil, producing epidemics with great economic, social and economic losses. As there is no specific antiviral treatment for these viruses, medicaments are used to combat the symptoms and signs manifested by the disease in mild and moderate cases. This PhD research project proposes to search, in an initial step, for possible antiviral compounds against these arboviruses of great importance in Brazil.
