Abstract

There is a great shortage in studies that analyze the stages of muscle contraction, the vast majority observed the effects of individual muscle contraction. These works address the stages and effects of the contraction in muscle tissue thus leaving aside the effects of the contraction in the bone tissue. Thus, the aim of this study is to evaluate the mechanical properties, bone mineral density and assess the effect of concentric jump training, eccentric and combined in the tibia of rats. They will be used 32 rats Rattus norvegicus albinos race, Wistar variety, with a body mass of 200 to 250gramas. Each of the four groups have one (N = 8). Eccentric group will be (landing / braking), Concentric group animal will only be submitted to (push), combined group will be (Brake + jump pulse), control group (without training), except for the control group, the other groups They are trained for 8 weeks 5 days per week with 10 hops per day. Thus, after completion of the training protocol, the rats are killed and tibias are dissected soft tissues, and analyzed for bone mineral density, mechanical testing and scanning electron microscopy. Can then define the effects of the phase jump in the bone tissue.
