Abstract

The description of a new species of Cyphocharax from rio Tapajós basin will be prepared. This new species, identified by the advisor from specimens recently collected in tributaries of the lower rio Tapajós, near Santarém, Pará state. The present project will allow an adequate initial training in taxonomy and related topics to the student chosen to conduct the project. (AU)
