Abstract

This project is part of a research named "The Indigenous Question at the Peruvian National Truth and Reconciliation Commission" (FAPESP's process n.2015/03896-0),and aims to systematize activities and establish criteria to conduct a fieldwork between February and April 2017 in Peru. The field research has proven itself increasingly necessary to deepen the understanding of the country's identity issues in their shades, as well as of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's establishment proceedings and operation. The fieldwork is going to be done in the city of Lima and in the Ayacucho region, mainly through documentary and bibliographic research in higher education institutions' collections, in addition to interviews with scholars, commission members, politicians and leaders from social movements and organizations associated with the agrarian issue and the indigenous question. The stay will be institutionally affiliated to Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP) and supervised by Maria Eugenia Ulfe Young, Ph.D. (AU)
