Abstract

Major advances in the field of regenerative medicine have been performed to replace and reduce the numbers of transplants of organs and tissues made from both Human and Veterinary Medicine. A promising tool in this area is the use of biological scaffolds decellularized, which seek to replace and/or improve the lost of biological function. A scaffold to be ideal needs to promote adhesion, cell migration and cell proliferation, thus leading to the interaction between cells and biomaterials. In order to promote better interaction between cells, facilitate the diffusion of gases and nutrients, it is necessary to form a vascularization in the tissue. For this purpose, the objective of this project is to evaluate the efficiency of dog yolk sac cells transduced with VEGF to aid at revascularization of biological scaffolds in vitro and in vivo models of mice with muscular injury.
