Abstract

Renal failure is a condition in which the kidneys become unable to remove products of metabolic degradation of the body. When this commitment is progressive and irreversible, has to chronic renal failure, making the individual dependent on hemodialysis. Assessment of the hemodialysis process efficiency is realized by means of clinical parameters and hemodialysis indicators that must meet standards and present contents. The present study aims to analyses demographic characteristics (age, gender, ethnicity and time of hemodialysis service dependency); clinical characteristics (underlying diseases, plasma ferritin, serum albumin, blood hemoglobin, serology) and indicators of quality of hemodialysis (Kt / v, vascular access for hemodialysis), comparing them with the parameters established by the Census of the Brazilian Society Nephrology (2013). The data will be obtained in electronic records and printed of patients in a hemodialysis center in São Paulo State. These indicators allow the measurement of the quality of the procedures undertaken to subsidize taken important decisions by the health team thus providing greater user safety in the treatment offered.
