Abstract

This research has the objetive understand the impacts that take place in Santos from the exploration and production of oil in the Santos Basin. The Baixada Santista (RMBS) will receive certain stages of the spacial circuit of production of oil and its cooperation circles. In this way we will analyze the renewal of materiality and the creation of new economic dynamics aimed at providing equipment and services for the productive oil circuit. The reorganization of Santos space for the oil activity demands new fixed and flows and therefore the State's role is central in its three scales (federal, state and county). Thus certain materiality related to territorial fluidity are renewed and new big equipaments and technical systems are installed in order to make space Baixada Santista more adapted to the action of companies. Also action of other non-state actors to observe that act to facilitate the expansion and consolidation of national companies that act as suppliers to larger oil companies. Therefore to analyze how it performs the state policy, mainly the federal pacts established in RMBS, both those in the horizontal plane - municipalities that compose the region - and in the vertical - municipalities, state and Union; and other agents that compose the oil cooperation circles in Santos; as the policy of the companies, especially those active in the stages of exploration and production of oil in the Santos Basin, transform the political economy of the region.
