Abstract

With an increase in the technological evolution of the various electronic devices and its distribution, besides the low lifetime associated with these devices, the generation of electronic waste is a global concern due to the large environmental impact caused by their improper disposal. As common practice, the recycling of electronic scrap allows the recovery of elements that have some economic value added, such as precious metals and rare earths. However, some elements still remain and continue to waste discarded improperly. Thus, this research project is to study and make proposals for "reintegration" of equipment classified as junk in everyday applications, both domestic and corporate, always seeking to offer a sustainable vision and a discussion based on aspects of economic viability, social and technological. Initially, it should give an overview of production of electronic waste in the region of Itatiba (SP), and thus can define methods for reuse of electronic elements previously considered as obsolete. It is intended as alternatives, propose to include as an aid in collaborative process, the so-called cloud computing, the creation of an Online Repository of E-Waste, as well as in creating new electronic devices based on individual components of equipment that no longer have conditions for reuse as a whole. With these proposals, one can add value to technological post-consumer recovered and reused, making a profit from something that was already obsolete. (AU)
