Abstract

Contamination of water resources is one of the main environmental problems of today, and the concern with micropollutants-substances which exist in concentrations in the order of mg L-1 and L-1-ng has increased significantly in recent years because although the low concentration in which they are detected, are capable of causing serious harm to living beings. Among the substances that can be classified as micropollutants stand out hormones. The hormones are estrogens micropollutants that may be harmful to health and environmental damage, so it is necessary to develop techniques to detect and extract these substances from aquatic environments. The impacts triggered by these substances in the environment are considered a matter of global scope and can be observed from the micro invertebrates to large vertebrates. This project aims to develop and optimize a method for extraction and preconcentration on solid phase using MIPs for the determination of synthetic estrogen hormone DES (diethylstilbestrol) in effluents for subsequent determination and quantification by liquid chromatography with DAD detection (HPLC-DAD) and; validate the methodology developed using ICH Q2R1 protocol.
