Abstract

This project intends to carry out a theoretical-practical research on breathing and its relation with the body and dance. Inside the graduation course, one of the points worked through contemporary dance and its connection to somatic education is the interlacing between movement and breathing through body awareness, providing better organicity of the body in motion and breathing being one of the paths used. From that contact, questions arise that move this research, such as: what has already been approached by other scholars on the breath, what's its connection with the posture, such as integrated with a technical vision in dance. With that, the research has as main objectives the bibliographical compilation of studies that address the theme, performing hands-on Labs for deepening and broadening awareness and understanding about the body breath. Through annotations and reflections held during the process, you will have the information obtained and analyzed with the development of research. (AU)
