Abstract

The weather and climate change with the spatial inequalities in an urban space, constitute one of the main concerns when it comes to the health of the population and their quality of life and well-being. Therefore, the main purpose of this BEPE project is the strengthening of technical, theoretical and methodological bases that can contribute to the development and implementation of a fundamental stage of my regular research project. One of the main goals of the regular master's research is the identification and analysis of the spatial distribution of cases registered respiratory diseases, correlate to climate elements and the thermal comfort. This project also proposes to carry out a comparative study about Climate and Health between Brazil-Portugal, in conjunction with the Portuguese researchers. So the academic internship period at the University of Coimbra (UC) in addition to the search for theoretical, conceptual and practical support from and the realization of an important step of the regular project, is the interest to study with the Research Group of Geography health at UC. The internship abroad will provide the academic enrichment to the Geography of Health and Climatology Geographic studies. Furthermore, the approximation between Brazilians and Portuguese researchers.
