Abstract

Most neurons of a nervous system experience patterns of stimuli consisting on activity dependent discontinuous small drug puffs during normal operation. In this project we experimentally address the effects of glutamate in the in vitro normal operation of the stomatogastric ganglion of Callinectes sapidus. We will apply a real time stimuli protocol to address how different patterns emerge from the circuit when the stimuli is switched from synchronous to asynchronous, both with same average pulse frequency.
