Abstract

This project is about the dynamics of biological population of interest in ecology and epidemiology, with special focus on bistability and hysteresis. The basic tool to be employed are differential equations, but we can occasionally use tools from the theory of stochastic processes. Modern data analysis methods can also be employed. The project is theoretical in its essence but we will also pay attention to situation where real data are available. (AU)
