Abstract This project is an introduction to dynamical systems. However the starting point is the study of a scientific article that models a physical system through its dynamic description of a billiard system. Besides the intrinsic motivation to be able to analyze a physical system through a dynamic model is the fact that this model allows to create theoretically an experiment capable of calculating approximations of the number pi by looking at the amount of elastic collisions that occur in the system. Next we study more about billiards and on some basic concepts of dynamical systems. (AU) | |
