Abstract The present study aims to evaluate the effect of a pre-clinical training program for indirect vision work on the clinical posture of dental students. For this, students of the 3rd year of the undergraduate course of the Araraquara Dental School - UNESP will be selected. The program will consist of 4 training sessions in which students will perform different types of exercises in which they will use only the mirror to visualize their work. For postural assessment, students will be required to perform Class III (disto-palatine and mesio-palatine) cavity preparations on central and lateral superior incisors on a dental manikin, at two distinct moments: before and after the indirect vision training program. Registration of work positions will be done through photographs. The evaluation of the photographs will be performed by a duly calibrated researcher, using the Method of Evaluation of Posture of Work in Dentistry (MAPETO). Descriptive statistical analysis and verification of normality assumptions will be performed. The t Student paired test will be performed. The level of significance adopted will be 5%. (AU) | |
