This project aims the development and installation of a high performance light collection device for a scanning tunneling microscope (STM). The optical system will have high numerical aperture and low loss light transmission up to the spectrometer. Test will be performed and the device inside the STM will be commissioned. Software will be developed for automatic data acquisition. Finally, the device will be applied in the study of semiconductors. (AU)
