Abstract The development of cellulosic bioethanol technology, in which the bagasse is used to produce bioethanol, has generated interest in the development of Energy Cane, which has more fiber and biomass. In each sugarcane variety, lower yield gains have been observed, which may be due to the narrow genetic base of commercial varieties (Dal-Bianco et al., 2012). The analysis of crosses with ancestor genotypes of sugarcane supply the need to increase the genetic base used in the development of modern commercial hybrids. In this project we will evaluate biochemical parameters such the photosynthetic pigments and physiological para meters. (AU) | |
