Abstract

The proposal deals with the study of new polysilsesquioxanes based on 1,8- and 1,4,5,8-naphthalimides. Synthetic optimizations will be made from silylated molecules and also structural characterizations of the final material to determine the level of organization of the hybrid material. The organization of the material will be assayed by spectroscopic techniques such as fluorescence, UV-Vis, birefringence of polarized light and SAXS. The influence of the organic molecule on the Sol-Gel process will be determined by NMR and fluorescence. The best understanding of the Sol-Gel process will be useful for making films, gels and xerogels as well as serve as a background for the use in directed structuring agent systems to obtain mesoporous systems.
